lyrics
Myruzo,
ravishing idol, expunger of pride,
lay waste to this slum of disgust.
Crowns lay idle,
wavering vessels remain.
This world has been primed for reaping.
Take this feeble cosmic structure,
constrict it and bleed it dry.
I implore you, inventor of entrophy.
Lacerating winds of winter,
flay me alive.
From the vision of an end comes lucidity.
I embrace this looming hell.
Pitiful creator, misanthropic maker of man.
Frail and spineless.
Obliteration, reality unshackled.
Disillusion.
Cleave their skulls against the altar of rot and decay.
Infuse the crackling stone with crimson secretions.
Calamitous collector, purloiner of bliss,
wallow in unconstrained ingurgitation, leave no implications of a past.
Pitiful creator, misanthropic maker of man.
Frail and spineless.
Obliteration, reality unshackled.
Disillusion.

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Beautiful, haunting, and incredibly engaging. I'm listening to this and looking out the window at snow falling -what could be more perfect?
An incredible record; highly recommended. It's truly beautiful, and that's not a word I often use for metal, but this is powerful stuff. somethingsomething9

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
