lyrics
The fraudulent sincerity of deceitful perception,
captivating the feeble cognition of miscreants.
Disregarding the path, the system, the sum, the oneness and the whole.
These decrepit pariahs lay claim to their own subjugation.
Oh Spinner, forgive me, my essence, I give thee.
You slither and waste your breath, in the cradle of death.
Misguided Pariah, erroneous agent of sin.
Absolved by the fire, negate what has been.
Obligated to the infallible cosmic culmination
of the unequivocal chapter.
We renounce our sickly mortal cravings.
We embody entropy, fearless of reality.
The passage has been engraved, the roadblock has ruptured.
Amalgamate with haste.
Blackened waters carry omens of posterity in decay.
The blazing winds elucidate and singe complexion into unity.
Contentment is a fool's delight.
Incite the final dusk, revel in endless night.

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Beautiful, haunting, and incredibly engaging. I'm listening to this and looking out the window at snow falling -what could be more perfect?
An incredible record; highly recommended. It's truly beautiful, and that's not a word I often use for metal, but this is powerful stuff. somethingsomething9

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
